Many spiritual directors only do this as a side gig, and others work for a larger organization, such as a church or nonprofit. But I am committed to building this ministry through spiritual direction, e-learning, and online content.

Training and education are an important factor when choosing a spiritual director, as well. There are many great programs that allow you to earn a certificate in spiritual direction, but for over 3 years, I studied at Loyola University Chicago to earn a Master’s Degree in Christian Spirituality, with a focus in Spiritual Direction. We covered spirituality, theology, and even psychology, and completed the program in supervised, real-world experiences as a spiritual director. So when you come see me at Directional Faith, you can feel confident in my abilities to guide you on your spiritual journey.

I’m a geek at heart. I’ve spent a majority of my career working in technology, so I am using the latest technologies in spiritual direction – including Zoom and online appointment requests.

Directional Faith is based out of the suburbs of Chicago, and I hope to soon open an office for local, in-person spiritual direction. But in the meantime, you can benefit from remote spiritual direction thanks to the latest technology.
