If you’ve never met me before, I’m Chad Torgerson – a spiritual director focused on helping others find God’s will for their lives, and my specialty is doing spiritual direction online. Why online? Because it is an affordable way to provide spiritual direction to those who might not have other opportunities close to home. And with the pandemic, that need is even greater.
Currently, I am in a spiritual direction training program at Loyola University Chicago as part of their Master’s in Christian Spirituality program. The program has not only taught me the ins and outs of spiritual direction; it has also enriched my own spirituality.

As I am completing my degree in Christian Spirituality, we are beginning to work in the real world by offering spiritual direction. This is where you come in. You get the chance to work with me – absolutely free for the next year – while I complete my degree.
During this time, there is no cost or charge to you. It is part of the practical experience and education I need for completing my degree.
How Does It Work?
Simple. Sign up online at the link below, and you can choose a date and time from my available calendar. Generally, we meet once a month through a video or phone call for about 45-50 minutes.
Once a month not enough? In the beginning, some might want to meet more often to settle in. In those situations, we can meet weekly or bi-weekly for a couple months until you feel more comfortable. That choice is up to you. We can discuss it during our first call.
